B.A.B.Y. I'm training

Aloooha! Well it's only been like 4 days since my last pday, but it's been a wonderful 4 days!

Well I've started having fairly frequent dreams of me doing missionary work hahaha it's happened sooo many times... I'll wake up and I has just extended a guest card to someone at the VC and invited them to learn more hahaha ahhhhhhhhh. It's great though because it means my heart, might, MIND, and strength are all in it! There's no greater work than being on the Lord's errand.

Another big highlight is technology. Our mission has approved the use of Facebook for proselyting purposes! I'm excited to use this social media and technology to hasten the Lord's work and continue helping others come closer to Jesus Christ. Our smartphones are also now activated and ready for use furthering God's work and glory! I'm pumped to have these awesome resources, and I'm also looking forward to setting good habits for technology for after my mission. Technology can be such a blessing, but it can also prove to be a huge distraction. Choose to be in control of your technology/social media!!! It's up to you:)

It's people like this that just make me smile from ear to ear: We met the sweetest Vietnamese lady who was visiting with her two sons. She had the cutest crooked smile and was seriously SO adorable. We chatted about a lot of things, and we explained what we do as missionaries. She thought it was super neat, and she told us we looked like angels haha:) a few minutes later she brought it up again by saying "you're just missing the wings!"... ADORABLE right?!?! She also said, "your parents must be very proud." The sisters taking the Vietnamese back to PCC on the tram said that the family mentioned me again by name when they were headed back to the PCC. It made me smile meeting someone so happy to meet US:) She was not Christian, but hopefully has some little seeds planted inside of her heart now.

Today for pday we bought Subway and had a picnic at Hukilau beach! It was PERFECT weather today... kinda hot actually. It was absolutely beautiful! I LOVE serving a mission in a tropical place, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone haha;) The mountains, ocean, palm trees, sunsets/sunrises, flowers, etc amaze me every day! Seriously! I wish I could spread some of this lovely landscape and weather to the bitter cold of Minnesota right now. (sorry Flake family, I'll just enjoy it for you for now!😉

The MTC Trio❤

We had the opportunity to watch President Monson's funeral on Friday. I know I talked about him in my last email, but again, I know he was a chosen prophet of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I am soooo thankful that he received and acted upon the revelation concerning the age requirement for missionary service. I definitely wouldn't be where I am right now, and I'm not sure if I would have served a mission at all, if he didn't follow that counsel he received from Jesus Christ to change the missionary age for girls from 21 to 19. I'm so thankful!

I'd say the biggest news of the week is that I'll be training a new sister straight from the MTC this coming transfer! I definitely am feeling a bit inadequate to train this soon in my mission (I'm just finishing BEING trained haha), but I know this call has come from the Lord, and that He never gives a commandment that we cannot accomplish (1 nephi 3:7). I know He will be with me every step of the way, training ME. I feel honored that He trusts me this much, and I pray that I can faithfully fulfill this great responsibility. I am excited to find out WHO my new companion is tonight, and I'm excited to love and serve her! I've been praying for help being more submissive and selfless, and the Lord has DEFINITELY answered that prayer hahaha! Training is going to be a very humbling experience. Watch what you pray for because the Lord truly hears and answers those prayers haha;)

Since we have transfers this week I won't have pday again until Jan 25th.

Aloha!
